We went for a walk around Echo Park the other day and found inspiration and freedom of expression where we least expected it. Living downtown, most of the wildlife we see are cockroaches and pigeons, and while those can be adorable at times it is nice to see a bird or a plant that you need a guide book to identify every once in a while.
This little guy is a duck, but he's punk rock at heart. Either somebody got close enough to him with a pair of scissors, or the hipsters in Silverlake are giving him tips.
I don't know what this bird is, but it's pretty cool looking. He was sitting by the paddle boats.Oh, and he only has one leg!
